Axon Scholarship & Mentorship Program
Spring 2026 | $50,000 in Scholarships
The BCGA Foundation and Axon are partnering to launch an empowering scholarship and mentorship program for high-achieving students passionate about technology, innovation, and public safety. This initiative provides financial support, mentorship, and access to career development opportunities within Axon’s global network of engineers, innovators, and change-makers. The program is designed to uplift and connect the next generation of STEM leaders from Georgia Tech and the Atlanta University Center Dual Degree Engineering Program (DDEP) — including Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University — preparing them to excel academically and professionally in the evolving tech landscape.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in an Engineering or computer science program at Georgia Tech or the Dual Degree Engineering Program (DDEP) at Morehouse College, Spelman College, or Clark Atlanta University
- Undergraduate in a STEM, engineering or computer science major
- Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, and/or public safety
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must commit to participate in the Spring 2026 mentorship program
- Attend a BCGAF charter member institution
- Alabama A&M University
- Alabama State University
- Alcorn State University
- Central State University
- Coppin State University
- Edward Waters College
- Florida A&M University
- Jackson State University
- Jarvis Christian University
- LeMoyne Owens College
- Livingstone College
- Miles College
- Mississippi Valley State University
- Morris Brown College
- North Carolina Central University
- Saint Augustine University
- Texas Southern University
- Virginia State University
- Be currently enrolled as a full-time college student (12+ semester hours)
- Have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA
- Be an upper-classman student (junior or senior with 30 hours or less remaining to graduate)
- Be pursuing a degree related to the new STEM majors (Engineering, Game Development, CIS, Graphic Design, Music, Animation, etc.) and Business majors (Marketing, Accounting, Finance etc.)
Mentorship Program Details
Selected scholars will participate in a structured mentorship experience that bridges academic learning with real-world insight, including:
- One-on-one and group mentorship sessions with Axon engineers, product leads, and business professionals
- Monthly virtual check-ins and quarterly roundtables designed to develop professional skills and strengthen pathways into Axon’s early career programs

- Recipients Announced: February 25, 2026
- Scholarships Awarded For: Spring 2026 Semester
